Freemasons of Woolmer Forest Lodge Bordon present cheques


The members of Woolmer Forest , who meet at the Bordon Centre , held a White Table evening on Wed. 26th March when local were presented with cheques. At every masonic meeting there is a raffle and the money raised is distributed every year to local .
 do not collect money from the public – all their  giving comes from their own pockets. In fact, after the National Lottery, Freemasons are one of the largest supporters of non-masonic charities in the UK. 
When recently there was an appeal for funds to help feed starving children in East  the  immediately gave £100,000 to Plan International, to help them provide food packages, water purification and hygiene kits.
The current Woolmer Forest Worship Master, Will Dow, is pictured presenting cheques to, Jane Kincaid (Project co-ordinator) with Kirsty and Mark from Friends Forever who are based in Kingsley, set up to help disabled people make friends and participate in many varied social based activities.
Sean and Brea O’Neill ; to help towards paying for specialised treatment for their son Toby, who was born with Cerebral Palsy and has suffered a stroke affecting the left side of his body , particularly the use of his left arm.
Emma Marbrook, co-ordinator from Homestart Weywater, who provide and support to local parents finding it difficult to cope.
  James who collected a cheque for the Crohns & Colitis Charity (he has a great niece with this disease).
