Founded more than 50 years ago, the Oklahoma Masonic Indian Degree Team has conferred more than 600 Master Mason Degrees. They have performed all over the United States, with frequent performances in Canada and England. The team members wear the traditional ceremonial clothing of their various tribes.
The conferrals usually include Native American song and dance. The team is known as Oklahoma’s Masonic Ambassadors. Over time the tribal affiliations of the team members have changed as old members retire and new ones take their place. There are more than 30 Native American Nations in Oklahoma, and the relations between those Nations and the Fraternity is one of our greatest strengths and our greatest pride.
