New Forest Freemasons donate £580 to Leukaemia Education and Fundraising

Wimborne-based Leaf (Leukaemia  and Fundraising) has received a donation of £580 from New Forest .
Leaf was founded by Natasha Hunt after she was diagnosed with leukaemia just three weeks after giving birth to her second son.
After six months of chemotherapy and being kept in isolation for most of that time, she was determined to do something positive.
So she set up the  that supports blood cancer patients and their families across  and .
The New Forest  of Freemasons, which meets in Lymington, wanted to support a local charity and heard about Natasha’s story.
Its Master, Ron Britchfield, handed over the cheque to Natasha when she visited.
Andy Wort, a member of , said: “We were keen to support a local charity and I was told by a friend about Leaf.
“It does wonderful work helping people with blood cancer and Natasha’s story is inspiring.
“We were delighted to meet Natasha and hand over the cheque – and also learn more about blood cancers.”
Natasha said: “It was lovely to meet Ron and Andrew and learn more about the wonderful work and generosity that  so selflessly give to others.
“The donation of £580 they have kindly given to Leaf will make such a difference to local patients and families affected by blood cancer. We really appreciate their support.”
